G'day...Silverwind.
Good word of the day! I watched this show the other week all about olden times in days of yore in bonny old England and they steeped or if you like macerated lots of things, and some of the stuff they were doing this for, was for the blue dye indigo which was the colour that was so very popular especially with the gentry because only they could afford it. To get the dye they had to boil this foul smelling weed in the cabbage family and macerate it for weeks and months until they had a thick black oozy sludge. And then they dyed their item...mainly wool for tapestries. Love and (((HUGS))) from Dawnie.
