Labyrinth of the Mind

Loosers come in first

Posted in Music

Well I just heard something that I could not help but to find somewhat ironic in a way, I was watching The Colbert Report, and he was doing this thing on what he called the Four Horseman of the A-Pop-colyps, and it was all about some of the best sellters in Moives, TV, Music, and Books

And for Music he was talking about this album by this guy Chris Dauchry which I guess was a top selling album, though I had never heard of the guy, apperently he was like a 4th place contestant on Amercian Idol last seaon. So how is it that on Amercain Idol, the show in which Amercia is suppose to choose thier idol the person they like the best, as that is the whole point of the show, the guy who was a 4th runner up ends up having a best selling album, when as far as I know Taylor Hicks, the acutal winner, and the alledged choosen Amercian Idol by Amercia, has done nothing as far as I know sense he won the show? I have not heard his name sense last season of Amercian Idol, and though I do not exzactly keep up with mainstream music, I hear bits and pieces here and there.

So go figure that one out.

Idol winners

Same over here. The actual winners have disappeared, and the only contestant I have heard from since, a girl named Hind (a fairly common Arabic name), didn't even make the final five in the first season of Dutch Idol. The winners from the Dutch version tend to end up in musicals.
