I felt myself touch something
like bliss with the thought
of you, but how deeply I yearn
to feel your arms wrap around
me during a time of need.
I know you could ease it
all away, I can hear you sing
a lullaby from deep within the
old country.
Music you would play for me
and nothing could make me resist
your strength would hold me up.
Because of you I would never
be alone, and I know even now I
am within your heart, but I think
of candle lit dinners, and lying
by the fireside.
Romantic evenings that
would seem to last for an
eternity, all I would need
would be to hear your laughter
and fall into your arms.
You would pull me down
into bed and I would smile
with a nibble to your ear.
Together like this we would
remain forever, nothing would
come between our special
happiness, for in you I found
myself.
