I went to see Dead Silence today, and it was a really good movie I thought I quite enjoyed it. I loved the directing and enditing of the movie, and thought it was ripe with symbolisim, it had a lot of really good shots with these sort of double meanings I thought. Like there is this one scene, in which they show this birds eye view of the town where the story is taking place, and the town itself almost looks like a doll house or the inside of a doll house, which I thought was really cool, and they gave it this whole fantasy feel. The other thing I really enjoyed ,was the fact the sort was suppose to be in mondern times, it had this very old timey feel at the same time that really worked.
The only I will say, is that it was not as scary as I thought it might be, it had creepy and eerie moments but was not really scary, but when it comes to scary movies I can be a very hard sell and do not scare easily, so it was a really good movie and I quite liked it.
