Fenton's Secret RevealedFentons eyes slowly started to open, he was first and immediately aware of the crisp cool night air against his skin, though somehow that did not seem quite right, was a window left open. He was greeted only by darkness, but there was something hard, hard and cold behind him, and a sour almost nauseating smell assaulted his nose. It felt as if he were just coming out of a dream. Distant sounds from somewhere far away filled his ears. Where was he? It took him a moment to come to the staggering awareness that he was standing in a narrow alley. But how? What was he doing here? He had no memory of coming here. He would step away from the wall he had been propped up against when something else came to his attention. A strange and distinct feeling, one that could never be quite missed but was often the source of panic and fear, something warm drying upon his hands, accompanied by a sharp metallic scent. He slowly and yet with much hesitation, as a part of him already knew what he would find, and felt the sudden urge to just ignore it as if that would make it go away, lifted his hands and even as he already knew it, what was revealed sent a pain sharp pain jolting through his body. Blood! But whose blood? What did it come from? What happened? He did not feel injured and he quickly checked himself when he gasped and felt a sharp acute fear. His mind began to spin and he felt certain he would be sick. He was covered it in it, his clothes were damp and sticky. The need to run away, to escape, this nightmare that he knew was not a nightmare at all, over came him he began to step forward, when his foot caught something, something with a trace of lingering warmth, soft and squishy and he dripped falling upon his hands and knees. Turning his head he saw it, the body"¦.or what had once been a body, what remained of it. A scream rose in his throat, but no sound came out. He quickly scrambled away backing up against the wall of the nearest building, his heart faught to break out of his chest, and it was a struggle to breathe. Once more he lifted his hands up as he looked down to himself then back to the remains of a body, what happened? Could he? Surely not"¦he could not see how any person"¦.how any known animal could do something like that"¦.but there was the blood, so much blood. Suddenly one thought flashed into his mind. Erila! He could see her face within his minds eye so clearly now, that was the last thing he remembered, being with Erila. This thought only caused a new wave of panic and fear"¦..was she alright? Where was she? Had something happened to her"¦had he? No, he could not have hurt her. Fenton became driven with the singular desire of finding her, making sure she was well. He began to push himself up to his feet, inching himself up with his hands against the wall, as he did not think now he had the power to stand on his own when he froze. There was a sound, another approaching. His mind screamed at him to run but he could not quite seem to make himself do so. Sasha had been watching quietly from the safety of the shadows. There had not been a display of such power, in centuries. There had not been one such as him in ages. If he learned of what he was, if he could control it and command it, he would be unstoppable. He was the one, this poor unfortunate soul that had been given such a gift, and curse, was the weapon Nicoli and she had so desperately needed if they were ever to succeed. The resounding clack of her signature break neck heals seemed to ring off the walls filling the alley as she began to reveal herself now. The long black dress which clung to her curvaceous form danced around her long legs while her silky raven tresses fluttered against the soft skin of her face, which now shone only with the greatest of compassion. She would have to tread softly or risk loosing all; even to her he was dangerous. The figure of the woman emerged from the dark end of the alley, and Fenton could only stand there paralyzed. "It was not your fault" Her voice drifted upon the air like a serenade and tingled through Fentons body, it seemed not only to penetrate his ears, but entered his every pore, it was hypnotic and he felt the sudden urge to agree with her. It was not his fault, but another part of his mind intercepted and reminded him of the blood upon his hands and he fought against the spell backing away from the woman. "Who"¦who are you?" It would not take long before she stood directly before him and she reached over closing one of her hands over his own, paying no heed to the blood she would not so much as give a glance to the mangled corpse that lay upon the dirty cold alley floor. A sugary smile curved upon her lips. "I am a friend who wants to help you." A part of Fenton deep down wanted to believe this woman, that she could make all his problems go away, he felt it, and he was drawn to her. He could just collapse against her and she would take it all away, but at the same time, there lingered something else within him that found her as repulsive as she was enchanting. And once more Erila tugged upon his mind, he needed to return to her. He had to break away from this woman, but he felt completely spent of energy. "Help me"¦.how can you help me?" The words came out as more of a plea then he had intended them to. She knew then that she had him, that he would be unable to resist her even if he wanted to. Sasha placed one of her hands against Fentons cheek, her long painted nails rested upon his skin. Her very breath smelled like perfume to him as she came to speak. "I understand"¦.I understand what you are, in a way no one else can. I can teach you how to control it so this will never happen again, not unless you want it to." Fenton felt a surge of relief come over him as the added affect of her touch impressed her words deeper into him. "Of course," she would continue as her eyes looked deep into his. "There is something you are going to have to do for me before I can help you, it is I am afraid the only way." Her last words drew him back out of his trance though he still felt as if he lost total control over his own body he would find his voice once more, yet all attempts of thoughts of rebellion had washed out of him at his point. "Do for you?" Sasha drew her hand away from his face, letting her nails trail against his skin before she would turn to start to walk back down the alley once more as her voice trailed after her. She was certain of herself now. "Not here" Fenton followed helplessly driven by something he did not understand. 5:47 PM - 4/4/2007 - post comment
