Well I am usually not in the habbit of making book recomendations, but in this case I really did feel compelled to do so, for anyone whom has an intrest in Amercian History and art in all its many forms from painting, sculputre, craftmanship, archtitecture, and so forth, I would highly recomend the book Amercian Visions The Epic History of Art in America by Robert Hughes, I am reading it as a required text for one of my classes but it can probaly be found on amazon.come or some such, and it really is a facisnating book, not dry at all like one might think of a text book though I have not yet gotten far into it, it is filled with intresting information, and it tells the story of Amercias History through the developement of art in this country, tracing all the way back to the first settlars and up into the modern era.
