Reincarnation

Posted in Movies

Being the genreal lover of hover films that I am, I can never resist the tempatation of those Japanesse horror flicks whenever I see a new dvd in the video rental store, even though more oft then not I find them somewhat dissapointing, I cannot help myself. Though one thing I have learned is that I can enjoy them better once I come to the understanding, that for the most part, out of the vein of traditional horror, they are not to be watched if you are exepcting to acutaly be scared or have those jump in your seat moments, for this is not the style of the Japeness horror, and once I realized that it made me see them for what they were and enjoy them better as that.

For instead of being instant scar tactic, they rather are creepy in the sort of way that, is intended to linger, instead of just be in the moment, something that seeps into your conciousness and you carry with you. At least the good ones, there are still some that are just too barzo even for me to apperciate and just leave me saying hmm that was intresting I guess.

So with that being said I just got done watching Reincarnation, which was a Japanesse horror film originaly made for the After Dark Horror Fest which was a film festival that came out around Halloween and just recently the the films have been released on dvd. And I have to say, it was brilliant, I absolutely loved it, and it is as of to date the best movie I have seen in the Japanesse Horror genre.

Not to mention it does have one of the creepiest horror flick dolls I have ever seen I think. But do not let this sway you, it is not just another pychoic murderous doll kind of movie, the doll does play a special roll, but not in the way of Chucky for example

Though I will say no more so not to spoil it.
