Plan Put in Motion (Part 2)Fentons exit and departure would hardly escape unnoticed, quite the contrary, he did exactly what it was intended for him to do. Glossy eyes watched in quiet contempt from their perch, eyes which were attached to the rather large beast of feline persuasion. Its sleek coat was as black as the night, so there was nothing to give it away, particularly when no one was looking for a panther in the middle of the city. With unimaginable gracefulness and stealth granted to such predatory creatures of the nocturne world, the cat would lithely abound from rooftop to rooftop following parallel to its earthbound target below, hard agile muscles rippled with each coil and release while it seemed to glide through the air in a series of single leaps. With just a feather touch, massive paws would grace each new surface before he was up again and soaring through the air. Even after Fenton had come long out of sight of the manor his swift pace would not leave him, and he would remain oblivious to the shadow which preceded him as his mind was upon other things. There was no doubt in his mind that something about this was terribly wrong in someway, but he could not grasp the particular trap which he was being led into. Once he would be brought to his door that led into his apartment complex and he buzzed himself in and disappearing into the door inside already his mind was racing on what he was going to tell Erila, how he was going to explain his absence to her, giving a deep sigh to himself as he began to take the stairs two at a time before entering in the hall and down the corridor to where his apartment lay. Perched upon the building he watched the chosen target disappear just within the building, with great care he worked his way down, pushing off from the solid wall of the building and landed atop a dumpster in the ally before at last coming to the ground below. Pausing a moment to be certain there was none to bear witness, the transformation would resume. It did not happen the way it did in the movies. Part by individual part, with the reshaping and creaking of bones, and twisting of flesh, muscle and tendon, nor was there any great flash of supernatural light. It was not such a production as that, rather there was simply darkness and then it was done. Nicoli would round the corner of the alley as he made his way around to the back of the building, he would check the door just in case someone else had done the work for him, only to find that it had been locked, which was a simple enough obstacle to over come. Placing his hand just against the door he waited until her heard that click and would then step inside. He could hear the sound of footsteps just above his head. And marked the spot in his mind before he began to make his way down the hall way and turned to start to move up the stairs. Now he would just shove his hands in his pockets and play it cool. Act like he belonged here, walking in his swagger down the hallway. Just up ahead around the corner to the right he heard a door open. Bingo he thought. Easy as Pie. Though it was not over yet. 4:21 PM - 5/9/2007 - post comment
