I am not the kind of person that things that a person ought to be able to sue a fast food joint becasue they are having health problems or overweight from eating there, becaue last time I checked fast food joints were not sending out troops to people's houses putting guns to thier heads and make them come and eat their food, as well I really do not think there is anyone who honestly does not know that fast food is not good for you. I have always been a big preponenet of personal responseablity, just as I do not think people ought to be able to sue Tabacoo company's becasue they choose to smoke.
But even someone such as myself have been somewhat disgusted and turned off by the new line of Mc Donalds commercials that I have been seeing lately, the ones that are trying to make it seem that taking your kids to Mc Donalds is acutally healthy and nutritious. There is the one showing the girl who is all taking karate but then she goes to Mc Donalds to eat, and then there is the other one with the mom narating with the catch prahse, "What goes on the tommy is not nearly as important as what does in it" and then she takes her kid to Mc Donalds. Are you kidding me? Espcially when in my personal opinion Mc Donalds is like the worse of all fast food, hell I will not even eat anything there.

I wish I had your good taste..I'd eat McDonald's all the time :( I don't even think I've seen the commercials. I sure don't think people should sue anybody because they can't control themselves or whatever. Still, just because they have lowfat milk and apple slices available...what kid wouldn't scream and scream for the fries?! Oy!
Suing
What I think you should do in America, is limit the situations in which you can hire a lawyer on a no cure no pay basis to cases where someone suffered at least really serious brain damage, or lost limbs.
We in Holland are seeing the opposite happening, which leads to more and more US-style lawsuits, like the lottery thing. I ought to somehow put a stop to all this...
