I just saw this story on the news that in Norway, I beleive it was, envriomentalists are trying to make cooking crabs illegal, becasue they say that it is cruel the way they are boiled alive. Persoanaly I agree, and I think that is awsome, and they have my support. That is one of the primary reason I will not eat any shell fish, becasue I refuse to eat anything that has been boliled alive. Personally I do not care what the so-called level of intellgence of the animal is, I do not think any living creature should be boiled alive, and I have long been against the practice of it.

No shellfish for me either.
Hm... I just quit eating shellfish because (A) it doesn't taste very good, and (B) New Year's Eve 2004 was ruined for me because of some bad clams. Oh well, I guess the end justifies the means.
It does surprise me that they're doing this in Norway. The Norwegian government have no ethical standards when it comes to fishing. It's even the main reason they are refusing to join the EU.
The EU are trying to prevent the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean from being fished empty, while Norway and Iceland are just trying to keep the prices of their fish low by catching what they can.

I can't imagine that anyone could boil a live lobster either. I guess I could never be a chef.
