I have recently become obccessed with International, or what is called World music, which quite self-explinaorialy is music from all different parts of the world. Well acutally it is not techniqually true that I have just recenetly become obcessed with it persae, I have always had an intrest in music and sounds from all over the world, becasue so many places have so many different instruments which produce an arrwy of new and exotic sounds and I most particuarly love more traiditional/folk type music from acorss the world but I have just recently stumbled upon this site that has free mp3 downloads of a large collection of World music, as well as other things like Indi music, and off beat kind of stuff. Music that you would not likely buy or find in your average music story, which is really cool. So I have been listning to and downloading music from all over. Even when I cannot understand what the people are saying, I still love just to listen to them sing.

World music
You know, the name they use for it sort of bothers me. U2, Michael Jackson, etc., etc. That is world music. Music from India should be called Indian music, music from Kenya Kenyan music. Just an opinion...
If I may make a suggestion, why not try South African music... Neh, just kidding. The music I wanted to refer to here is just pop music, but in the Afrikaans language, which is all the hype in the Netherlands. Afrikaans is a language that developed out of Dutch over the past 200 years.

World Music
Well when talking about World music, it does come in handy when talking about the collective, like if I was only talking about music I would have said Indian Music, and so on, but when talking about music from severeal different places it is conveinet to say World Music
