Sunshine Redefined
We were all blind
as we danced around the sun
thought I would take a chance
and steal one last kiss
from your black charred lips
but I forgot I was in remission
pardon the admission
guilt was scrawled all over your face.
Forgive the day
while I say
we were all just the fad
of the hours
and when it fades
you will be the one left
standing on the stain.
Cinch up the chains
and hail the rains
as light is drenched out
in the dark I will hunt you down
for the final part.
We will all screw
the sun in again
falling up into the sky
only you I would bind
gravity to.
Open your glass eyes
and I will decline
baby doll make-up
covered in mud
caked in crust
you crack with rust.
