I just got done watching Dorm, which was another of those Japaneese horror flicks that I enjoy watching escpecially when I am home alone, I know I am strange, I like watching horror when I am alone, at least that is what it was classifed as, but well to me it really was not horror, and ended up being more like a suspense or mystery type of movie, so it was not what I was set up for, or in the mood for. Though it did have an intresting plot line, I was expecting something different, and becasue of that it did seem to drag just a little slow for me. As well, it was really very different for Japanesse Horror becasue it was not as bazzaar or sort of off beat as Japaneese horror usually tends to be. So I would not say it was a bad movie, just dissapointing becasue I was wanting something else.
I would say that one of the most interesting parts of the movie to me was right at the beginning. It is funny in a way, how the same we all turn out to be in some cases, no matter what culture, background or part of the world we come from, we still share many of the same basic quirks, ideas, and supersitions. There was this seen where this boy was being driven to a new bordring school and they were comming to a bridge and as they apporach the birdge the mother tells her childern to hold thier breath untill they go to the other side and make a wish. I remeber when I was a kid we use to play a smillar game, though with us, we were told when we apporached a tunnel to try and hold our breath untill we reached the other end of it.
