I have just seen what has to be one of the dumbest commercials ever, and yes I know I say that quite frequently. But there are just so many out there, so here is the latest.
I do not know how many of you are famillaer with any of the Old Spice commercials, but I have always found them to be equally dumb and annoying, but this latest I just say, really takes the cake I think.
It starts out just showing the inside of a bathroom, and then the lense begins to zoom in closer and closer, and there is this like suspenseful music playing in the background as this is happening. First it zooms in on the shower, and then it moves closer and closer, untill it focueses on just this bar of soup, and then it begins to move in closer, so you can see the hairs left behind upon the soap. I suppose from some person whom just finnished showering, but I do not want to think too much about that one.
Then all the sudden it just shows a bottle of Old Spice, and the little Old Spice themse song plays, which is this stupid like little whilse melody thing.
I really do not know what I am suppose to get from that. I know I am not ezactly the target audiance, as it is geared toward men, and I would take a guess, at gnereally older or at least middle-aged men, but still, I really do not see what anyone could dervie from that, or just what it is trying to say.
