People amaze me, though I of all people probaly should not be amazed considering how critical I am of the human race to start with, and do not hold much hope for it, but still every now and then I see something that just makes me think how cand you do that with a straight face.
I was getting ready to watch a DVD and in order to do so I had to put the tv on channel 4 and there was this informercial thing on with this guy selling thse medicial/health realted books, and it was a set of three books, and at first he was going on and on about how much the books are vauled at, and how imporant they are for everyone to have, and so on and so forth, but then he makes like this big nobel speach about how, they really want to give this infromation to thier customers for free, and how unlike greedy doctors they don't want to overcharge you, and that is why if you call now you will get a special offer of all three books for 39.95
I mean come on, if you know you are there to make money then why even pretend like you want to do someone a favor? That is just sleevey selling if you ask me, not to mention the fact that I no doubt that the 2 books you are so gernearously getting for free, by paying 40+ dollars for the first book once you add taxd and shipping and handleing were probaly already over priced to begin with.
Then if that is all not bad enough, at the end of his little speach thing when they have the timer counting off how much time left you have to get this incrieablde deal, he seriously sitting there saying how everyone needs to have these books becasue it just might save the life of a loved one, and then they like get a close up of his face looking all sad and serious.
And then on top of that, they have like all these testimonails of people paid to say how great the books are, and like the very first woman is like "If you care about health at all you will get these books for your friends, family, and loved ones."
