Beauty and the BrainsWell this might sound a bit funny, but it is something of which I have a geniuine curriosity in. I am sure it is a concept most of us famillar with and perhaps even seen varrious examples of it for ourself. I am speaking of the syndrome, of women whom are acccepted by socieites standards, and by the media as being particuarly attractive, also being completely idiotc. I got to thinking about this after the Teen USA Pagennt I think it was, though I did not watch it, they were talking about it on the raido and appernetlt this girl whom came in like 4th or something is suppose to be really attractive, but well on one of the questions they asked her for the pagent, her asnwer was a complete disasater and a few other things she said were just down right stupid. And there are many other nurmerous examples of this both in hollywood and the real world to say that it is not just a joke but often perople whom are reguarded for thier apperence are complete morons.
So there must be a reason for this, is it a mere act of nature and fate, and the fact that one cannot have everything, so it is a balancing act of sorts, that if one is gifted with physical apperneces, by the desigin of the creative forces out thier, they have to sacrifice thier intellgence in exhancge for thier apperence?
Or is it that they are conditioned to be stupid, becasue of thier physcial apperence, the way they are treated even from a child, they really are not given any room to grow, becasue it is placed, however subconnciously into ther minds, that they really do not have to work and they are trained to instead of develop thier minds, but to use thier other asscests to make thier way into the world? Are more atractive poeple actually given less oppertuntiies to learn?
Or is it a Catch 22 of sorts, a cycle, in which becasue of this sort of stero-type that has been proven true before, when one is attractive, others simply do not expect anything from them, and so then the idea gets planted within thier heads that they should be stupid, becasue those they associate with autoamticaly assume that they will be and so they are doomed from the start of it.
