Labyrinth of the Mind

Baby safe

Posted in Thoughts

Well I was just flipping through the channels when I came acorss this story on the news, about this new device for babies, it is this sort of seat thing that is meant to help babies sit up for the first time, and well it is suppose to be convinent because then parents can sit thier babies up with them wheveer they are, and it is suppose to be good for feedings, and etc... and well the chair has no acutal restraints, of buckles and fasnters but the way it is desiigned it is suppose to keep babies in but of course they can still get out if they try, and on the box it says that it is good for any level of surface, and perfect for next to pools, and so forht, but then on the back of the chair itself there is this tiny warning label that says do not use on raised levels, and appernetly some family who did not see the warning on the chair and just went by the box, and so thier kid fell off a table using the chair.

And well my thing is this, I do not care what kind of device you are using, if you have your child, particuarly a child that young in any place that could be poetentailly dangerous then you should be there watching them. You do not just put a kid on the top of a table, or beside a pool or anywhere else and then just leave them un watched, no matter how great orsecure the chair they are in is suppose to be, casue you never really know just what might happen.

And if you let your kid fall off a kitchen table no matter what pretecnes you were led to belive, it is still your own responsablity and your own damn fault. A manufacture or a store cannot be held repsoneable for bad parenting.
