As many of you probaly know weekend tv tends to suck but I don't like to just sit in the silence so I was trying to find something at least mildly acceptiable or possibly entertaning to put on while I went about my bussiness, and I found this show on VH1 called Amercia's Most Smart Model, and it was the search for the smartest model. Though as part of it not only did they have to prove how book smart they were, they also had to prove that they were a good model so they had challanges that would combine both inteligence and modaling skill. Like one of the first things they had to do was a runway walk, while naming as many things they could within a given catagory. Like one person had to name different rivers, and one person had to name forgien cities, or US states and so on. And there was a combination of both male and female modles competating against each other.
And well everyone is always talking about the issues for women in modaling as far as the message the think it sends to other women or young girls with the whole anexoric thing and so on and so forth, but in the modaling world it goes both ways. The main judges were Ben Stein for the intellegence part of it and some woman for the modaling side of it, and one of the male models whom was no where even close to being out of shape or overweight, and looked perfectly skinny was told by the woman that he needed to loose some weight and start working out.
