I just saw this commerical for this new (or at least new to me) scent for guys, I guess it is supose to be a cologen but it is not clear in the commericals, but it is called Diesel though I think they may spell it different, it is pronounced just the same, now for some reasons diseal does not exzactly sum up romantic, sensual or sexy images within my mind, and it certinatly is not anything I would associate with a pleasent or appealing smell, though thier whole ad campagin is "fuel for life" It is really quite an odd twist of irony. It is a mans product trying to put this sort of masculine spin and edge to it, and yet if you really watch them, the majority of ads for cologen and simillar products are really aimed at women and intended to appeal to women. Do you cannot really have it both ways.
You cannot have this sort of artsy looking commerical with models that are clearly intended to appeal to women, but then call your product Disel and try masculinze it. You have to choose one or the other.

Well, they were originally in the blue jean business. Sometimes companies should stick to what they're good at.

Their commericals would make more sense for jeans
