For the longest time, near as long as I can recall, there has been this raccoon that makes regular nightly visists to our backyard, and it seems like my little friend has found himself a gilrfiend. About a month or so ago, I had heard these strange noises at night outside, and it sounded like the sound the latter that goes into the pool makes, becasue it kind of creeks, and I kept wondering what is that? So I looked outside, and there were two raccoons playing on the deck around the ladder. Then just last night I kept hearing this strange noise and was like what is that? So finally I got up to look outside, and I saw this racoon sitting on the edge of the pool and he kept looking down into the water and at first I was trying to figure out what was going on, I knew we did not have any fish in the pool so I could not figure out what he found so fascinating, and then I saw this raccoon head pop up out of the surface of the water. Lo and behold the racoon was acutlaly in the swimming pool. I did not know that racoons were swimers, but he seemed to be fine, and evenually got out.

How delightful! (and when do I use that word.) It's so refreshing to hear someone say something good about racoons. They're so cute, how can they be as bad as people say?

I'm jealous. We don't get that sort of visitors. What we in this part of the country get in terms of nighttime visitors are either cats or very common birds, like owls. We must be doing something wrong.
