No SyampathyYes I am a horrible, but the question is why this time?
Well there is this forum where I post my poetry, and overall I really like the forum and the people there and it is a good place to post my work, but a lot of the people there already know each other and met on varrious different support forums, and because of this on the Poetry Forum they have a place where members can go for support and this one person was posting about how her husband beat her again. And appenretly this is something he had done before but as she had put it "he was getting better" and then just started to get worse again. And I am reading there I just don't care. In fact I find people like her to be well frnakly annoying, and I try and keep in mind what a freak I am compared to most people, but still.
I really cannot stand people that want to sit there and whine and cry and play the role of the poor vicitim, when they just sit on thier assess and let it happen. That may sound uncompassionate and mean, but so be it. And honestly I am not saying it is easy, but still the way I see it, if you are in that kind of situation you either acutally do something about it to help yourself and you make sacrifices, or you just shut up. Don't complain to me about it if you are going to take the easy way of just saying in that situation and then thinking you have a right to feel sorry for yourself.
You know that is what it is, I really don't like pity, I do not like self-pity or people looking for pity from others.
And don't act like an idiot, if you are with someone whom you know has gotten physcialy violent with you before, don't act all surprsied and woe is me, if you stay with them, and they do it again. Come one, you know damn well they were going to do it agian, but you decided you were ok with that sort of life style, flat out. At least be honest with yourself about it, becasue if you really were not ok with it, then it would have only had to have happend once and that would have been the one and last time it ever did happen becasue you would have been out the door.
In most cases victimhood is a concious choice, and a lifestyle a person decides upon. It is not something that just happens to a person. A victim is a person, who simply chooses not to have control. 10:49 PM - 11/15/2007 - post comment
