Don't Save My Soul
Pray to your God if you must
but to not expect me to bend my knee
to your brand of hypocrisy.
To tell you the truth
I would sooner burn
then wallow in your self-inflicted misery
Let my soul be damned
but please I must implore
you do not of all things
try and save me
With a savior like you
what would I do with
enemies
I need not be suffocated
to have my hand in everyone
else's affairs
You gossip hounds
your idols are those that dare
to think differently then you
Devote your whole lives
trying to shackle them down
like keeping a lion on a chain
and watching him starve as you stuff
grass down his throat and pronounce
you know better the nature could ever.
If my choose would be
to spend an eternity in heaven with you
I think I rather choose hell if you do not mind.
Though I know that you do,
seething at the thought that not
everyone thinks you are right
You spew your vile down upon me
and expect me to gobble it up
and say thank you
ask for more
No I will take my chances
without you
It is not my cross to bear
and bear it I will not
I much rather dance naked
in the rain.

Just Popping In to say g'day...
I just wanted to say g'day, haven't been over here for yonks. I seem to have to many other distractions and so never get here. But when I do I like to pop in on all my favourite journal friends. Interesting sentiment
I take it that you have unfortunately run into some Christians who have offered more judgment than understanding. I am sorry for that. I would just mention that I too do not want a person to save me. I need someone "bigger than human" to deal with my greatest need. I do appreciate what you are saying in your poetry. It is often an important outlet.
