cannot seem to understand

all this searching
for an endless time.
The fountain of youth
a pain in the dark
where is the hope
in finding your way
when you are half-dead
and half-alive
and cannot seem to
understand why.
Just feel it always
slipping on by
only delusion
a real self-illusion
to make you believe
in a true meaning.
Dreams are dust
and you feel the truth
burn deep inside
so you know
you are only
half-dead and
half-alive
with no reason
why.
