Keep your brat at home

Posted in Movies

In general I could careless what parents do with thier childern, insofar, that it does not interfer with me in any way shape or form, but today I have come to the conclusion, that I think theathers should have a rule in which they prohbibit childern up to a certain age, what that age should be I have not yet decided, from going to see R-rated movies, even if they are with a parent, or other adult gaurdian.

Though I am not concenred with the fragile minds of childern, nor am I worried about childern being exposed to what could be considered inappropriate mattieral. I do not care what parents let thier childern watch at home, or what games they let thier childern play or whatever, but for the sake of the enoyment of the other patrons, I saw this rule should be put into place.

Yes, my reasons are fully selfish. It a parent cannot get a babysitter, or cannother pay for one, or does not want to, then that is just too bad, wait for the DVD. But as an adult, going to view an adult movie, I should not have to be exposed to someones squalling brat. If I am going to watch an R-rated film, I exepct an adult audieance, granted sometimes even they are not always the most mature, but that is beside the point. I do not want to be annoyed by crying, or babaling nonsnse, or asking, what does this or that mean, or what that person said, or childern running up the asiles, or playing around in the walkway or anything else of that nature.

If I am going to a PG or lower rated movie, than I accepet the fact that I may have to put up with such things. But within the realm of R-rated films I should not have to have any such acceptanace but I should not have to worry about it in the least.

Hey, I'm all for it. Selfish or not, across Europe (and I'm sure they exist in America too) many hotels, restaurants, even campgrounds, don't admit children so as not to spoil the enjoyment for adult visitors. Movie theaters would only be a small step from there. Besides, if it's only for movies rated R and above, what real problem is there?

I wish

I so need to go to Eurpoe, in America, if someone did something like that, some parent would complain thier rights were being violated. They do not care if they are annoying other people, they think it should be everyone elses resepensiablity if they cannot make arragamgents for thier childern and do not want to just stay home with them.

One good thing, though, is that in LA, and it may be in other cities as well, they have what is known as Mommy and Me movies, where regular movies are played, for the parents but they can bring thier kids, and the movies are just for parents and thier childern so they do not go during the regular movie viewing hours.

Over here people think, if we pay good money to stay at a nice hotel, OUR rights are violated when noisy children disturb US. I think any hotel that has suites that are over let's say 400 bucks a night, they should have a right to ban children, even from the cheaper rooms.

Childern

Hehe oh I am all for banning childern, I think that is a great policy
