Name that tuneI was flipping through the channels a few days ago, when there was nothing to watch on TV and I was just looking for some background noise, when I came upon VH1 and I was just so stunned and shocked to see they were acutally playing a music video, as it has been a long time sense I have seen a music tv station, acutally playing music, and the song that was currently on was not that bad so I decdied to leave it on.
The song that came to play next was a rather odd little song I thought, and at first I did not know what to make of it, my first inclination was not to like it, and yet I somehow remained facinated and could not turn away and I think the song had begun to grow on me, and now for the life of me I cannot remember what the song was called or the name of the woman who sang it.
She was this Irish girl with red hair, and when she sang she had a bit of the Irish accent, and the song was a bit of a strange one, and in some parts sounded almost more like talking than signing. It was about this relationship in which now all they do is fight, and there is really nothing left between but for some reason they still try to hold on. For the life of me I cannot pull from my head any of the specific lyrics.
In the music video for it. She is in thier apartment with her boyfrined, showing them being estranged from each other, and she is signing about how all they do is fight, and it makes her smile when she is irritating him and she knows it is not right, and how they are trying to hold onto something that is already lost.
So if this sounds familair in anyway to anyone, please let me know, I was goign to go and try and look on VH1's website and see if I could find anything. 11:22 AM - 2/27/2008 - post comment
