Well sense Fightingfemale is often posting about her pet peeves I thought I could share one of my own, though this one is considerably at the bottom rung of the great tower of things which annoy me, but it is one that has most recently come to my attention and so I am freshly irritated about it.
One of the things which just grates on my nerves. I think because of the sheer hypocrisy of it, as well as the false drematicism, and hint of almost martyr like complex it reeks of. Is when I am sitting here, reading a blog, which states within the blog, about how here they have come to post their deepest most intimate secrets, that they do not want in the public eye, and yadda yadda.
And I am sitting here thinking to myself. Ok, considering I am reading this, and I do not know you personally, and I am on the internet, than I am pretty sure it is public. I just do not care for that line of bullshit, it is so attention getty, people trying to pretend, they do not want the very thing they are indeed after.
If one truly, and sincerely did not wish their private thoughts to be known, they would go to the store and they would buy a journal and start writing in it, or if they are too lazy to handwrite, or feel they cannot for whatever reason safely keep something handwritten in their house, than they would just open up a private blog for only their own personally viewing pleasure.
But if something is posted, where other people can in fact read it, than it does not matter if that blog hose as 10 million, 10 thousand, or 5 members it is still public, point of fact.
And you are posting it there, because you do indeed want other people to read it.
