I have been watching the latest Horrorfest movies, though I have to say, I think the first ones were overall better than the newest set. Nightmare Man was overall a bit cheesy and poorly made, with a bit of a slasheer flick feeling to it, a sort of typical B-Rate horror movie that are rather common, but there was one moment in which the movie captured the element of fear in a way which had to be appericated.
This woman and her husband were driving out on this road in the middle of nowhere, through the wilderness, when the car ran out of gass, it was starting to grow late, and the husband was going to go and see if he could find a gas station, and convinved his wife to stay and wait for him, of course he does not return and now it has grown dark. The woman is strandaded in the car, becasue it has no gass she cannot go anywhere, when she begins to hear things outside, and at one moment while she was in the car, the trunk suddenly starts to open and she hears something moving around on top of the car. It is the perfect moment, becasue there is nothing you can really do. Being inside a car will only offer miminal protection, and she could not drive off, and if you thought something was outside you would not want to get out of the car.
Also I have to say the movie did end with a bit of a twist to it.
