Took the ferry back to Auckland and met Wendy, my local representative. She gave me a lift to budget for my rental car. O BOY. Here we go, wrong side driving via trial by fire. All in all no too bad. Some of the roads were rather challenging. Winding, twisting, climbing, falling 2 lane roads. I managed.


Arrived Bay of Islands Lodge, Port Opua. OMG what a view. More tomorrow

I didnt come close to killing anyone. Traffic is light for the most part. The roads can be a bit dicey at times but I have everything pretty much under control except parallel parking. something about going backwards with the wheel on the wrong side is extremely challenging. Unfortunately, there is no parking lot for me to practice in. Seriously, no space up here in the northlands its all undeveloped.
