guilty by association - 1:27 PM, 5/10/2008

I don't think we care to know that being who we are is empowering. How does one categorize or place themselves in position in life in terms of being and livelihood. Some would rather not say because they feel the opposition coming from those who know who you are, but you reject it. It is almost similar to the prisoner's dilema, because if no one wants to be the man then both are guilty of the same crime. I find it interesting to see how many races of people are proud of who they are. They wear their "nations" flag, keep their culture and traditions, and  are proud of their heritage. Then there are those who want to identify with people who are not their own. They live trying to do everything to disassociate themselves from their own groups of people. They are competitive against each other and cynical. They cast down and never interact with each other in a fruitful way. They cast negative words against each other and hate. When it comes to appearance it is out of touch to dress proper to those who may dress fashionable, and out touch by the people in the same group to dress fashionable and feel they should dress proper. All this stemming from a condition brought about by hate and division of people who are not their own. How many times have we disassociated ourselves from the truth, and to "them" those who oppress we do them a great service. Very well planned and organized have been the devalution of a black race, where the antagonist are ourselves. If a dog were to bark we would know it were a dog. If a bird were to fly we would know it were a bird. I believe God's distinct reason for race was not seperation but equality by means of control. A bird will never fly if it doesn't realize its a bird. It may walk around and try bark like a dog, but every animal in the environment knows what it is, even its prey. So in a way it is not our being so we have to accept then demand that respect, not acceptance from others who you may think like and associate with. The black generation after being sabotaged into slavery with the succession of centuries later, they let us go on our own with supervision into a society now where most of us now think like them in terms of Americanism and Politicism. We practice the same hate, discrimination, and grief amongst each other because the truth was taken and now we accept and want to be able to be something were not. Ultimately it keeps us lame and unwise in a world that is now globalizing and urbanizing pushing blacks back as the repulsed. This is nothing pessimistic as I believe to myself is every reason to demand and grant respect as a human. Because humanity is about race, culture, belief and sacrifice no matter how weird or racial that may sound. Then again, who are they to say who you are? If American, let it stem from humanity not degradation.

poising process - 4:37 PM, 5/8/2008

From a distance things can be big, but up close it can become very personal. Like the way people make observations. We like to think big in terms of vision, but when it becomes personal it is something to close of a matter and reason to deal with. Generally no one will ever meet someone who is exactly like themselves. So how is it we don’t know who we are? We can spend a whole lifetime far from the truth. The thing about the truth is it not only sets you free, but opens your eyes to see through the eyes of God. I spoke with someone close to me who feels there are no other options for him in life. And to take a new path, setting, or thought process is impossible. This is a man who is currently locked up and a repeat offender. No matter how much I told him different and encouraging him to be positive, there was no changing his mind and outlook. One thing interesting was that he could afford in his mind to have the same lifestyle that was keeping him from climbing higher or in a sense true being. He could afford to have a drug attachment, lustful desire, and a slothful character. This being no different than someone wanting to change from a mindset that instead of pushing them forward it pushes them back. So people want to change how much money they have but never their character. I have found that money from a world vision can be big, but the more you have the more personal it becomes, especially if you never change. How can we afford to gain control if there is no control over our lives? We think that things characterized by necessitous strongholds or bonds in terms of outward street living by means of money and lifestyle that anyone can afford being broke is the way. No, I think it is being able to have self control, and those who have never had it, including myself, have to teach ourselves control or we will never have any kind of control or true peace. Peace not in this world of conflict, but in our inner world of conflict. Politics of wealth, superiority, and the longing for satisfaction in terms of the media will always have your mind in a cage, seeing everything around you, being fed what you’re given, and never getting out. Probably one of the reasons why when our perceived views in our lives hits home and becomes personal to our lives we wonder why we never got the big picture. You have to come close to see it and meet it for yourself.

time for everything - 4:29 PM, 5/6/2008

How much is everything? Consider giving everything, it might not be much, but it is all you got. Control has always been a hidden factor. Even if it is how you begin your day and end your day. Without thinking most begin days thinking about what good can come out of the day. By the end of the day, we think what could of been done to have had a better day. We live in 3 intervals of 8 hours. The first 8, most of us are resting after a long day. The second 8, most consider to be work and spend every minute of it pressing on to the next 8. The third 8 for most of us, without thinking, is preparation. Preparing for whatever it may be, the next day, or some leisure time. I believe there is a purpose for this cycle that many people never capitalize on. One,  in each 8 there is room for creativity and a time to analyze ourselves and find what in this world really matters. I believe that many of capitalist in the world believe in free-time. They live to have as much time free to do what is most important and have people like myself earn other time for them. It is not about have real estate, but maybe land (service breeding ground) that can be used to vie resources. It is not cars, or even clothes, probably not even luxury, because it can used to lure a breed of people at a time. So what do they do to capitalize on every minute of their life, and what is their purpose. I think if we knew we wouldn't have time to think about it because around the corner is that next 8. No matter what job one may hold we can capitalize and contribute without being worth billions of dollars. Right where we are we can begin to see the most vulnerable parts of our lives. In a media or in modern mind we become accustomed to dreams not reality and can't think beyond barriers that may keep us from elevating. We think that it is impossible to have an equal and fair society. Historically that is not true, but interestingly every incident in history was equated with land. The basis of land should be equal distribution in terms of agriculture. Because prosperity is well being and not in terms of wealth, it is aquainted with everyone working for a common good (structure) in terms of labor. No one is above another, by thinking as a system not a class. This fair share of distribution is for everyone in terms of education, work (considering there is always someone in need of a job indiscrimately), and opportunity. Political participation should be accounted for as well, if there may be one who spends over 8 of those hours mad about their well being.

divided by stance - 4:33 PM, 4/30/2008

When we stand do others stand with us or against us. There has been a great cause for grief amongst the black community and even nation of people. When there are attempts of unity and realization of people who are beginning to see the truth of American society, along the hill comes opposition. Even in leadership in America, for the black man, he is still controlled. Most say that black people should be accountable and think for themselves to be able to have equal access in America. By what terms does that come and what are the ramifications. Is it fair to say that the majority of black men and women around the world have contributed to a great success rate of many of the worlds economy? In jobs of labor considering nearly all across the Middle East and Western society, that have made markets out of exploitation. How can their be governments in which the national gdp in purchasing and exchange rate is at around 13 trillion dollars, with a little over 50% of that in the leading blue service sector of manufacturing, extraction, transportation, and crafts  from a labor force of 153 million people forget those who contribute more to this economy than the ones administering our government. But what makes the black community significant in this area, there has been no attempts made to break the condition of poverty brought about by slavery, not even an acknowledgement. Should we forget and leave it to misrepresentatives to mend the field or can we be humanitarian in efforts to see that there is a great need in the black community, not media based. Because the media will have a generation of black men who will focus more on showtime than control. Entertainment is a great art and profession, but historically a ploy and form of slavery that kings and leaders even from the Roman Age would use to manipulate a people from getting involved. Unity must come first by nations of all groups of people pariticularly coming together than standing together to reach the prosperity of true independence.

voting without representation - 4:42 PM, 4/23/2008

If there is no representation, there is no justice to those who are mislead to a cycle of delinquency. I think it is easy to judge or be cynical to someone who is held accountable for something they were never counted as, like a true citizen. We tend to forget that without someone in menial jobs there is no standing business. The same is for society, without the working or those below, there is no safety net to provide a haven for reciprocity. So we can make observations and say that in these communities police should run and govern to an extent of unfairness. To the point to where they categorize by skin, appearance, and attitude. There are no options in these communities or even opportunities. How many times have small fast food establishments come into a black populated community and on tv promoting there social affairs, like the jobs they provide. But what about educational opportunities and well being of there communities that they over concentrate into these areas. What is the American dream? To many it is a nightmare they live everyday and haven't awaken from. To others in protected areas of America, it is something that is so true they can't believe it is a reality. So will this time of elections really help those held down in poverty or will it give skills and education to where true sincere black people have full control over their communities, businesses, organizations, culture, politics, and economics. To the point where there is an even distribution of jobs in these communities (getting the jobs they want not have to take) also ownership and not just getting the results of what happens in this election season. This could help a whole lot of people who get missed and finally heard about when a castrophy happens, or when we're passed up by the plane, of young well-to-do students going with what we could use to a small villiage in Asia. Other countries have had enough of the encouragement and rice, but I think these ghettos could use it more effectively with a little of your time and resources, especially with times only getting worse. I don't think it's much to ask, it's just a start.

leave it to a black man - 7:53 AM, 4/16/2008

Was Dr. Martin Luther King's cause a cause for action or just a day of silence? This movement was for not just peace, but unity amongst black people and racial dignity as well needed. I think we just remember his dream, it was not just for integration, but just like Malcolm X he was revered for momentus action. Where does the black man have peace? In most popular modern day music, we are promoting to be dead to ourselves. We're paranoid of the police and others, when we expose our deeds willingly and proudly to all. In movies we seem to be looking for a check and not respect. Artistic creativity should be more than a car, over sexual sensuality, and a house. Creativity looks beyond barriers and takes new respective heights. In movies, a black man as president, there goes the white house. A black man with his own Airline, there goes corporate America. A black man moves into a good neighborhood, there goes the neighborhood. What we have is a negative outlook for the black man in America, which gives every cause for others to look down, cast down, and keep down. Young black children have to be able to see better and know better or we will continue to be falling class citizens. Most of these movies and music are good for a laugh and entertainment. But historically in this country if you were to go back to when blacks were portrayed the same way in early racist film. Portrayed as illiterate, insecure, and black skin was aloofed. I understand that deep behind the curtain someone is making a market for this, but it takes some standing up and keeping your God given soul to not sell it so that these people can undoubtebly make not just a lot of money, but a lot of laughs not with us but at us. Integration is only visual, because hate can still be in the hearts of mankind towards each other. So it was a call for integrated minds, where people think, talk, and act together as one. Everything was taken at slavery, to think of the minds of those enslaved at that time being distant from the truth. And years later when we have it, we don't want it. So we accept the bigotry and lies. One must learn himself as a human being and then demand it. If not, they'll leave the money, sex, and drugs to you. When it comes to leadership, true ownership, real talent, and creative thinking, they'll know just who to leave it to, hopefully you, the Black man.

living on purpose - 7:36 PM, 4/13/2008

You can't place a dollar on true brillance, maybe value. Some of our greatest minds in the world ever didn't exchange their innovation for wealth, but self-fulfillment. Leardership used to be the same way. People used to stand for something instead of monetary return or title. Most people use their minds to deceptively to control, others to empower. It is in what way, I believe can be the true desire of an individual. One of the greatest was Einstein, his involvement with electricity that sparked a wave and fast jump into the future. He could of used it to his own benefit to bring a lifetime of super wealth and power. He obviously saw it as something that could in the future benefit medicine, technology, and everyday business to business, also the way interaction can be productive. George Washington Carver, a great civilizer who started with peanut butter then to hundreds of other uses from peanuts. What would later define industry and agriculture to this very age. So is greatness defined by what we do or gain? It has to be by what is long-term, generational. Quick schemes to get rich only get us rich, but not prosperous. The thing about the Olympics is how their is a torch lit that is passed from individual striver to the next. In a sense one generation of world people to the next. It is necessary and beneficial. A good example would be if you were going through something personal in your life and someone came to be with you and encourage you through this time, you would feel appreciated. Then the next day you find out it was because they did it for something in return or recognition, you would feel manipulated. How can we be of purpose now to have impact later should be our cause.

truth challenged - 7:53 PM, 4/5/2008

We are judged by what we did, not what we can do in this world by man.  Probably, the main reason hypocricy is never challenged, but mandated. Many people are never sure of who to trust. Identity can cause situations to fall back on a distorted view of the truth. We believe the perfect person is an ideal human being, someone we can trust. The truth is if your looking for the perfect, ideal, sane, human being, your looking for Jesus. The simple fact is that humans are people who strive for perfection. If the curtain was removed from each person individually, I think it is safe to say that no one is perfect in the eyes of God, but equal. Equally countered by sin and made potentially dangerous for the good or bad. So if we strive for excellence, the road before us becomes a light. If we strive for vain or immoral likeness in a world that is moving toward self, the road ahead is uncertain and ultimately fatal. We are spirits confined to human flesh that desires anything that the eye reaps. The spirit is already one with God, yet we still wrestle with faith and the truth. God's ultimate punishment made us flesh and in that we became slaves to the world or sin, because we knew the truth but was not guided by it. Our spirit being will live on forever, either in heaven or hell. Satan's punishment will confine him in my opinion to simarlarly human flesh where he will no longer be a free spirit, but caught up and condemned almost the way we are presently for an eternity in hell. Trust comes with consequences and carries a lifetime of condemnation if misguided. If trust is in God we have decernment to find it in man and we will know by God's divine wisdom.

This is Africa - 7:51 PM, 3/10/2008

Suffering has called us to a calling beyond our means. Whether we are silent or hold peace, our situation only evolves into a worse circumstance that we must abide by. Is hope a fantasy, nightmare, or reality? This can only be answered by the dream or legacy we hold in our hearts. Our hearts are what we make decisions by not our actions. Anything our heart beats for is the cause of what we may dream, rationalize, or have given up on. We can begin to look at the many different shades or veils that cover and disquise the true barrings of a society. Poverty, Immorality, Wickedness, and even in these areas of America we call the slums or the have nots, there is a spirit that remains fostered not by evil, but the evils of exploitation. Many of these businesses claim to be for opportunity of the working class Americans. But there remains in these communities a game of real life monopoly in which we the working class Americans are the participants. Why and How? Simple, every dollar we make in our blue collar jobs goes back into the ones keeping us oppressed. To think of 10 to 20 fast food chains in one area, and then low quality department and grocery stores, and even your neighborhood drug store that supports the movement of social degradation posed upon the youth to where by the time they are 14 or 15 they have easy access to a liquor mart. Why this should matter is because it is only happening because most people are never prepared for this because we are born into it. We know nothing but government handouts and then injected by the poise of a modern class structure that has worked for centuries now. This is the reason for the season in a sense. We're sick, but can't afford to see a doctor. We're poor, so we take the matter in our own hands unfortunately by illegal gain. We're dead mentally because we were never given a mind of our own or no one payed mind to even care so they lock us up. Is this a declining or growing cycle or is it just part of life. Take time to notice the poor man whose lost his mind as you pass to go to work and lacky that you label and judge as you pass by the city or even zones that you wouldn't cross. Whether we like it or not they have not, not cause their instability but because of the world's lack of concern and to cast them out into the pitts and think that just because of the success whomever may acquire that these people are the pillars of our society. Not only do we do the work that certain Americans are just to good to do, we also remind people of high stature that they are truly blessed and if so how would God being Jesus, if he were to come today be embraced. If high he would of probably never came down to die for us all, not individually, but equally.

which way is it? - 2:39 PM, 2/2/2008

The justice system serves the interest of a specific class of citizens. We live in a government that incriminates mostly of those who are in an environment set to give access to every negative source of life it could possibly give. Why is the system this way, I am confused to whether it promotes well being or by setting traps instead of eliminating the problem. There are people who have been arrested for small crimes at reasonably early ages and from that point on are given no alternative. A criminal record in most cases bars an accussed or convicted felon with crimes most of the time that should have been misdemeanor crimes, from getting a job, public transportation, drivers license expulsion, getting into something as simple as an apartment, and from educational institutions. Many of these people want to change and many have changed and are living a moderate life. But in a system that keeps you from improving the only option is to live illegally or be satisfied being what they label these people "low life felons." This in an election seasons seems to bring heat, no one wants to touch up on the subject. Many believe it is being racial, but why is it racial? Is it racial or racist to have many citizens particularly black in this country who from having an inferior education at the schools were provided in our communities that lead to job instability, to families breaking apart and having to depend on government handouts to survive. I don't think at all and if this is not attended to, we could see the falling of a class of citizens due to impoverization and a government that would rather pay to put people in jail and release them with no options and wonder why theirs a cycle to repeat offenders. Start by looking into your books or laws of legislation and stop with the unfair games of politicism or in the end this country will have debts it owes to the weaker part of society with the presence of no hope that will reign possibly even after election to election to election and the voices of the ones who need change the most are unheard.

education before degradation - 1:24 PM, 1/7/2008

As a people and not just the black race we work against all odds of our world, including ourselves. We have been given the opportunity to be a voice. We are the minority in class and citizenship, so why haven't we capitalized on this chance of black independence. There is a reason why we can't accept the fact that we can be a people and not just a class. There is a road leading toward mental prosperity, but hasn't been reached for reasons that have been our own. Time is moving so we must move with it and climb higher, first by educating. In the black community our main focus that should be with ourselves especially with the young generation, is education. We can't focus too much on starting businesses, which is resourcesful but not substaining. There is no way to be able to succeed without eduaction. With the many opportunities there are out there to be smarter and knowing your system, your law and government, true history and current situations going on here and abroad. We have to think as black people, why reading and writing was so protected from our hands and minds when we were first brought ashore to America. The idea was to be ahead and to control, without education you will always be second and never first, behind and never ahead. That is one reason why education before entrepreneurship is important. But there is a gap, and that is in proffession, if we have not enough black representation in government, medicine, and private institutions, there always will be one looking for rights, better health, and better employment in our worse hit communities. There is something about having representation that helps identifies our people and gives them hope to do better. The trick is that money is not prosperity and the sooner we get that the better off we will be from those who decieve our people and take from not just the shackles on our minds but pockets. Prosperity is well being, that means mentally, to take it further, poverty is a state of mind as well as prosperity. It is not only the government keeping us in poverty it is businesses of people who have spent years educating themselves on you, your community, and mindset.

With election time now here, it is important to know not just who your electing, but the majority of those who this person represents and brings into office with him. I personally would like to see more of mixed crowds of race of people in the white house and on the senate floor, such as African Americans, Native Americans, and other race of Americans as well. This I believe will change the face of America and give its flag true meaning.

my tomorrow - 3:26 PM, 12/22/2007

How will the way we live affect our tomorrow? Money will only change our lifestyle but not the way we feel. So if money is the main priority to the way we live, we can still in no way be changed emotionally to problems that need inner strength rather than what we can buy to fix problems in our lives, that are only temporarily. Every year is a new start for people with new hopes and aspirations. We can hope to accomplish so much, but it is not really us that we can change, it is actually how we can have an impact really on the world around us. Many people in underdeveloped countries, interestingly enough, I feel understand this in a special way. They have traditions and values that haven't changed for centuries. When we see these people on our television screens, as most news channels do, portraying them without hope. The simple fact is that they have held on to tradition and many of them I believe are richly blessed because they have what most of the rich, proud, and famous long for, peace. An inner peace, an unselfish peace, a compassionate peace. Most of what I've read and have heard from those I have spoke with of those in my family, whom are African and live in Africa, have said that they have peace and I could never really understand that, because from what I would see on TV. Every time I would see the madness and corruption that the news media would present over the air I would feel that these people were in some way immoderate. But these people are fighting not because they don't have discipline, but they are fighting for independence in their countries, but that part is never expressed over any news station. In this world money is not an issue, but agriculture, sustainability, culture, and all these things are what make a generation of people. We can't continue to set our own personal agendas and proclamations for a new year, but a rebirth, new way of thinking and viewpoint of everyone else in this world to make a positive difference.

culture in existence - 8:50 PM, 11/30/2007

Culture cannot be created by a people, but a condition. Generational curses are a preconditioned state of mind ultimately. Its a condition that arrives that most of the time we have no control over. I don't think there is any current condition that could not have been possibly made by a group of people who were placed in unthinkable situations. You can look at where these people come from. Since in this country, from the time of black enslavement there was a condition. A condition black Africans had to live by in order to function properly in an economic system that has to be able to keep a majority of its people sustained. There is a problem today with black America, knowing we are the highest unemployed, unfairly educated, highest poverty rate, not to mention also around the world. I believe the media gives unfair coverage of darker complected people in this country. The only coverage we get, if you'll notice is negative. Not just the music and television stereotypes that go back years into the beginning of the television entertainment, but especially the reminding fact that we are struggling around the world, and where that more than half is dominated by one type of people and message. So there is a condition, we feel that we can do better, but it seems as though our history has been cut off. In schools, the message that is taught deliberately portraits blacks in a negative light. Although it is our history, in this country, but who we were before is left out and many black Americans have no clue that we have come from a great people and not just that a God who has blessed us with intellegience to be lifted from our oppressors. Where there is love for self I believe there is love for your people and those who may not be of our kind. But the idea is that we are not at fault for making mistakes and being in the state we are in now, but are being challenged to take new roads back home, mentally, to a state of mind that is far more than we could ever be.

neccessity or prosperity - 12:10 PM, 11/11/2007

We live in a time that we give and treat problems rather than solve. How often have we been open to a problem, but never stepped out of our comfort zone to see the truth. The truth could be is that we see problems as opportunities for ourselves but never anyone else in need. I have a problem with seeing the way people in need are taken advantage of. How is it possible to realize that their are people in need and we can see it as an opportunity to lift ourselves. There are people in need around the world who are victims of people who take advantage and use them to make themselves a light, when in truth and seriousness they are just like the people through years who have kept them from resources and power over resources to many of these underdeveloped countries that have been taken. Too many times the media has portrayed or shown pictures of hands reaching out for help with the proud and mighty over them as if to say they need them. It is easy to treat a problem than it is to solve one it seems. But the truth is these people need more than just our clothes, food, and toys, they need opportunity and a chance to be a more productive people. It was said to me that I could help with just $50 dollars a month build a well. Really? In my opinion as a person who is well off but could do better, that is not the solution to a major problem. The countries that unite together every year to encourage people to give time to help out of their busy schedules, could help out much more with the power and resources they have to in a great way begin to support these countries financially to educate and rebuild their communities. This may seem some what impossible, but the millions and probably billions of dollars given a year to these countries already to in some way treat the problem or neccessitize it could be used more efficiently to give these people a chance to be leaders in their native lands. In my opinion that is the cause of most wars and why other countries to never hear our voices when we speak against world poverty, because we have been the ones who have the power over the resources and in many of these countries their resources. Keeping it from them and subsituting it with clothes, food, and toys which keep them inferior and locked up in a world of poverty. These people know what they want, we should let them speak, which we don't. All of them will say it is not material possession but a positive productive future for their people in their own native land. I don't think that is much for them to ask at all, it is only fair.

life's course - 5:55 PM, 10/29/2007

Admiration could be a good thing, but who we admire or aspire to be could determine not just our life but our outcome. Who do we see as successful in our own eyes? Is it because of what they do or say? That's the part that can be our mental roadmap. We often become what we settle for. Being young I looked up to people who I thought were successful, maybe cause it was convenient at the time and was appealing to my youth. Just that idea would cost me and I may not of known it at the time but I began to consume time thinking (studying) this lifestyle. These people whom I admired had everything but the truth. Which means I was waisting time in decietful truths. Life not thought out carefully could cause grief from running and chasing something that never was there or real. Limits are set by just saying to yourself, I want to be this or that, because in actuality we could do better with our own unique abilities. Carefully examining who we admire and by the fruits of their lives, which is simply do they have true peace and how are they using it effectively could turn a course in life. While having time on this earth why not enjoy everything we have even though the world may say it is not much or anything at all, but who is setting the course in your life?

the basics - 3:54 PM, 10/26/2007

It is time to get back to the basics and the way things have worked before. If we forget that most of todays structure has come from early beginnings we have no foundation to build up on. One way to look at is that almost every design or structure started with people who had nothing to work with and with no design but a clear focus or idea. These ideas had to derive from the total surroundings and the environment they were in. Every revolution came up on by great thinkers of that specific time. I think we have not seem too much of innovation or talent to improve our economy and country as a whole. One basic element I believe is we haven't put much focus or effort in to education. Schools everywhere I believe need the same pratical education nationally to be able to bring up in this present and future generation productive change in this country. It seems as if time has moved forward but we haven't prepared for the problems and issues we face now. With time and effort progress will come from what we know, the basics, because with every new season comes challenges and times that we wish if what we knew then what we know now occurs. The basics are our foundations with many elements especially education that need to be challenged.

thinking ahead - 2:09 PM, 10/25/2007

How will the way we think now affect the way we think in the future. A lot of it can probably be determined upon what we allow ourselves to be involved in. With so much of media attention, I think we have forgotten about ourselves and what matters to us the most. Situations around the world may not mean much and local issues as well, but when it comes to what this person or that person says to us, it gives us a picture of something that grabs our attention because it takes us away from reality. Once I think that we are able to become real with ourselves we can than think for ourselves and be able to focus on what matters the most. Our biggest problems are our smallest problems and minor the major, we may think we have little of something that the world may say is critical, but in reality is something we can look over and get through not just mentally but physically. One way to put it is the way we see ourselves in this world and how we live, if carefully evaluated we see that our every day role and function in life means more than just having a good time but time to know who we are and knowing our environment. Knowing your environment by not just trying to find the perfect place but mentally being above what we see or think. I think that thinking for ourselves will keep a person from making an unconscious decision, but a fair one.

looking for change - 1:34 PM, 10/24/2007

When will the government, the people who are responsible for our society and well being remember that there are no avenues for many Black and lower class Americans. There is no hope to where I believe people who have experienced poverty their whole life and also have a history of no success or signs of change in their lives. I myself have been a victim of this trap of signs of no success but a possible of potential in my own life as well. My setbacks are even more difficult to deal with other than the fact that I am one who has grown up in a poor environment and have experienced more than enough of pain. Yes, I know that I can change things, and believe me I will, but the majority of people in my situation can't see things the same way because they are caught up in a cycle that brings them back to a life of poverty mentally and physically because of their history. This in my opinion can only be fixed by the government and the solution should begin with the government. The same way if you take a mouse and put him in to an experiment in a cage, and it is in the cage majority of its time it is not going to do any thing that is out of its reach, it cant do or even be apart of any thing that is not apart of its environment. With this said, resources are a vital part to living a productive life, why hasn't this been done for the minority in this country especially in a time when our leaders are running for office.
