Baqarah 257

257- ALLAH IS AN ALLY AND SUPPORTER TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE, TAKING THEM OUT OF DARKNESS INTO LIGHT, WHILE THE DISBELIEVERS ALLY IS EVIL, TAKING THEM OUT OF LIGHT INTO DARKNESS.  THEY ARE THE PEOPLE OF THE FIRE, WHERE THEY WILL ABIDE FOREVER.

Allah the Highest is telling us that He is the believers ally.  The ally helps and supports his allies.  Allah the Highest helps and supports the believers in their striving to strengthen their faith, to gain understanding of Allah, and to strengthen their faith, and be righteous.

The Disbelievers are lured by Satan to do the opposite; disbelieve in Allah, lead a sinful life and to lead others astray.  They live in darkness and their deeds lead them to more darkness.
