Al-Emran 48 :49

48- AND HE (ALLAH) TEACHES HIM THE BOOK, THE WISDOM, THE TORAH AND THE ENGEEL.

49- AND A MESSENGER TO THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL (WITH THE MESSAGE): “I BROUGHT YOU A SIGN FROM YOUR LORD, I MAKE FROM CLAY THE FIGURE OF A BIRD, THEN BREATH INTO IT, AND IT BECOMES A BIRD, WITH ALLAH’S PERMISSION, HEAL THOSE BORN BLIND, THE LEPER, AND REVIVE THE DEAL WITH ALLAH’S PERMISSION.  AND INFORM YOU ABOUT WHAT YOU EAT AND WHAT YOU STORE IN YOUR HOUSES.  IN THESE ARE SIGNS FOR YOU IF YOU ARE BELIEVERS.

Allah the Highest prepared His messenger Jesus, peace upon him, for the task and job assigned to him.  Allah the Highest gave Jesus knowledge and wisdom which is granted to prophets and messengers and one of the greatest bounties granted to man.  ALLAH GRANTS WISDOM TO WHOM HE WILLS.  INDEED, HE WHO IS GRANTED THE WISDOM, HE HAS BEEN GIVEN A GREAT DEAL OF GOODNESS, BUT ONLY THOSE OF SOUND MINDS KNOW IT” (S: 2 A: 269)

Allah the Highest taught Jesus, peace upon him, the Torah, and gave him the understanding of its meaning and Allah’s aims in it.  Jesus, peace upon him, was sent as a prophet and messenger to the Jews, whose book was the Torah.  Jesus, peace upon him, argued with the Jews about their understanding of the Torah as well as about their disobedience of Allah the Highest and His commands in the Torah.

Allah the Highest gave Jesus, peace upon him, the Engeel as well.  The Engeel was the book given to Jesus.  This is Not the Bible and certainly not the New Testament.  The New Testament consists of 4 accounts of the life of Jesus, peace upon him, according to 4 different people; John, Mathew, Peter and Luke, that is the story of his life.  The Engeel Allah the Highest sent to Jesus, peace upon him, is no longer available.

Allah the Highest supported Jesus, peace upon him, with many miracles also.  As He was sent to the Jews who used to see great miracles from their prophets, therefore, Allah the Highest allowed Jesus, peace upon him, to perform great miracles:

1-    Makes from clay the figure of a bird, and when he breathed into it, it turned into a real bird.

2-    Heals the incurables of those born blind, and the leper.

3-    Revived the dead.

4-    Telling people about what they eat and store in their houses.

Allah the Highest made it clear that all these miracles happened with Allah’s permission.  Allah the Highest is the one who gave life, to the clay and to the dead, and Allah he Highest is the one who cures the incurables, and Allah the Highest informs Jesus of what they eat and what they store in their houses.

All prophets and messengers performed miracles, not by their power, but by Allah’s power and ability.  Allah the Highest said: “IT WAS NOT FOR A MESSENGER TO BRING FORTH A SIGN EXCEPT WITH ALLAH’S PERMISSION”.  (S: 13 A”38)

The argument that these miracles are evidence that Jesus, peace upon him, is God’s son or God himself, does not stand up to examination, as all messengers performed miracles with Allah’s permission.
