Posted in Unspecified

Your hair look great only when at right places on your body. Unless you are a male, facial hair do not look good. Facial hair are highly humiliating and embarrassing in females. Many females across the world have hair on their face, which makes them embarrassed. Actually, females always have hair on their face, but generally these hair are so small and match skin-tone so well, that they are not visibly noticeable. In some cases, these hair grow long and are readily noticeable. Only places where hair look good on a female's face are on her eyebrows and eyelashes. Generally, either due to hormonal imbalance, hereditary, or any other problem, females develop clearly-identifiable facial hair. In addition to making them look bad, these hair pose a problem as they regrow again and again.

There are various methods of removing hair, especially facial hair. You can remove facial hair temporarily, for longer duration, and even permanently. Different methods differ in their effectiveness of removing hair for different durations. Below are different methods to remove facial hair.

Shaving – Shaving is one of the most common methods of removing hair, but it is not at all recommended for face. Unless you are a male, do not try this method to remove facial hair. Shaving causes hair to regrow thicker. Moreover, it is an extremely temporary method to remove hair. It is okay to remove hair from other body parts, but not face.

Hair Removal Creams – There are different hair removal creams available in the market which claim to  remove facial hair for longer duration. These creams are actually alkaline in nature and break hair in a way that it can be wiped off easily. The method is better than razing your facial hair off, but is effective only for 3 to 4 days. Generally, these creams contain harsh chemicals and should be avoided on soft and sensitive skins.

Threading – Threading is generally used to shape eyebrows and remove hair from upper lip. It can also be used to remove other facial hair. This method is highly effective and does not let hair regrow for nearly 6 weeks. In addition to being quick, it is inexpensive. Threading can prove to be a painful process, but is amongst the widest methods used to remove facial hair.

Waxing – You must have heard of resin wax being used to remove hair from legs, arms, etc., but there are preparations available to remove facial hair, too. However, because of its exfoliating characteristic, it can cause the skin to get red, scabbed, and burnt, at times. There are different precautions one needs to take if opting for this method to remove facial hair.

Laser – Laser technique is highly effective and one of the best ones to remove facial hair permanently. A pulsed light is used to disable the hair follicle, which stops the growth of hair on the treated area. Laser treatment is a little expensive, but gives you permanent relief from facial hair. However, to get treated by a laser, you need to have certain hair and skin color.

Electrolysis – This FDA-approved method to remove facial hair is highly effective and safe. It removes facial hair permanently with use of an electric current. Moreover, you do not need to have a specific type of skin or hair color to get benefit of this treatment.Learn how to get rid of Facial Hair.

• 2/18/2012 - 7 Early Signs of Pregnancy

Posted in Unspecified

The first signs of pregnancy are usually noticeable few days after the fertilized egg attaches to the womb. A large number of women are unaware of the early symptoms of pregnancy, which unwittingly they might attribute to a common illness. In most cases, a woman believes that she has conceived only after she misses a menstrual period. While missed period is obvious during pregnancy, it is not the only early sign of pregnancy.

Early signs of pregnancy

1. A missed period

Every month, the reproductive system of a woman prepares the ovary to receive a fertilized egg. When a fertilized egg fails to reach the womb within a fortnight after ovulation, the lining of uterus sheds, and menstrual bleeding occurs. The hormonal changes that occur once the fertilized egg attaches itself to the uterus, stops the menstrual cycle to enable the egg to develop in the womb. A missed period is a definite sign of pregnancy.

2. Spotting or bleeding

Occasionally spotting or mild bleeding might occur when the fertilized egg burrows into the lining of the uterus. The implantation bleeding might be associated with abdominal cramp. In most cases, the spotting is overlooked as a sign of normal menstrual flow.

3. Nausea and vomiting

A large number of pregnant women experience nausea or morning sickness during early pregnancy. Despite its name, nausea and vomiting can occur at any time. The nauseated feeling usually develops two to eight weeks after conception and might last throughout the first trimester of pregnancy. Hormonal changes are responsible for this condition.

4. Breast tenderness

Breast tenderness is another early sign of pregnancy. The estrogen production increases during pregnancy. The elevated estrogen hormone induces growth of the mammary glands. Moreover, the volume of blood circulating in the body including the breasts significantly increases during this time, which further contributes to the fullness of the breasts. Breast changes usually start at least a week after conception.

5. Darkening of the areola

Areola or the area around the nipple might become slightly darker after conception. It is usually noticeable during the first pregnancy. Just like the other symptoms of pregnancy, this is also caused by hormonal changes.

6. Fatigue

You might feel exhausted during early pregnancy. Drowsiness or temptation to sleep during the day is a sign of the rising progesterone level. Fatigue may persist throughout the first trimester.

7. Frequent urination

Frequent urination is an early sign of pregnancy. The hormone human chorionic gonadotropin secreted by the embryo may increase the urination frequency.Read about early signs of pregnancy.
