Other faiths show "God is everywhere." This really is really called "pantheism" and it is the contrary of our belief program in Islam. Allah tells us simply there is nothing, in the universe like Him similar to his likeness, nor is He ever in His creation.
He informs us in the Koran that He created the universe in six days or eons of time and then Allah "astawah 'ala al Arsh" (rose up, above His Throne). He is there (above His Throne) and will stay there until the End Times.
Allah has such complete Knowledge as to be capable to Know all factors in all times everywhere the same time. The same can be mentioned for His absolute Hearing and Seeing. In this way, His Knowledge, His Hearing, His Sight is in every location simultaneously.
In this respect, the prophet Muhammad (Salla Allah Alayhi Wa Sallam) told us He is as as close to us just as our jugular vein. He also revealed Allah is "with us" when we are in genuine worship to Him and in dire times. Obviously, this wouldn't compromise His existence outside of His creation.
The Koran offers us a bit more intricate understanding of Where (and Who) Allah is.
