The Language of my Generation

Posted on Sunday, March 5, 2006 in Other
Recently I set-up an account on MySpace.com because I've been hearing a bit about it from people around the office and a few podcasts that have been speaking about social networking.

Tonight I was on there looking for people who went to the same high school that I did, Henry Wise Wood High School in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  There were a few there, but only three that graduated the same year that I did.  I didn't actually recognize anyone who graduated from 1992 - 1996 from Wise Wood.

Something that really shocked me reading the blogs from some of the people who graduated about the same time that I did was the language.  The wrote like they were still in high school!
This is an ad revenue sharing blog.

Somehow I just figured that as people grew up we would learn to express ourselves in a more mature way.

Wishfull thinking maybe, but what do you think?
