Another Reef to Outback Staff person with a Blog

Posted on Friday, March 17, 2006 in Web Development

Jen Troelstra, who works with Youth Ministries at Reef to Outback - YWAM, has set-up a blog.

Here is a link to it:

Only two posts so far, but she only started a few weeks ago.

Something that worries me about people going and setting up their own blog is that it means we have not created a good enough user experience with their Reef to Outback staff/student page. This is especially true with a Blog like Jen's which mostly talks about what she is doing here at Reef to Outback - YWAM.

I'll need to talk to Jen to see why she's gone with a blog instead of her Reef to Outback- YWAM staff page.

- Blogs vs RTO system

David on Sunday, March 19, 2006
Hey Bill
The thing about a blog is that it is individual and not giving someone an identity through an organisation i.e. YWAM. I think the future is building a CMS that has the ability to display news from peoples websites/blogs when they enter and leave YWAM. Things change to fast to keep up with a CMS that will suit everyone!!!
just my simple thoughts -
David
