Cyclone Larry Coming
Tropical Cyclone Larry is due to hit the coast 100km North of Townsville. It is a category 4 cyclone already, and they think that it could upgrade to category 5 before it hits the coast.
We are in the middle of our house renovations so this is a huge concern for us. The house is currently being lifted and is in a very precarious state right now, which you can read about on our site our about house renovations, Renovate Australia.
At Reef to Outback - YWAM we are busy getting everything ready, including removing the cover over the deck, moving all the rubbish out from under and around the houses, filling up bath tubs with water, etc. There is a heck of a lot involved, especially with over 100 people here.
I am at the YWAM base right now trying to get everything shut down in anticipation of the power outage that always comes when a cyclone hits the area. I am very concerned with our back-up plan at the moment, but I am realizing that it is too late for me to do anything. All I can do is hope that nothing goes physically bad with any of our hardware...
