Video Footage of Cyclone Larry in Cairns
Cylcone Larry missed us here at the YWAM base in Townsville, and it even missed Cairns for the most part, but there was still a bit of distruction up in Cairns from it.
Below is a video that someone made up in Cairns of Cyclone Larry and some of the destruction that it brought. There is some pretty loud music in it, so you might want to turn down your speakers or headphones if you have them:

- Stay Inside...
billhutchison on Thursday, March 30, 2006Given the strength of the wind it is always best to stay inside during a cyclone.
A lot of the roofs in N. Queensland are tin or corrugated steel. If one of those pannels gets ripped off it can very easily decapitate someone, which is just one good reason to stay inside, and probably away from the windows.
