YWAM Persecution in India

Posted on 3/28/2006 in YWAM

As Christians God calls us to "Go throughout the whole world and preach the gospel to all people" (Mark 16:15 MSG). God does not command us to just go into the easy places, or that places that are open and welcome to hear the gospel of Christ. God calls us as Christians and followers of Him to go into the areas where we are not always welcome. When we go into those areas there can be persecution from people that do not agree with us speaking God's truth.

Recently in India one of our bases was attacked because of the work that they were doing there. I came across an article about it and below is an excert from the article and a link to it:
The YWAM centre at Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh was ransacked and vandalized by Bajrang Dal activist late night on Friday the 17th March 2006. The attackers beat up resident students of the centre and misbehaved with the girl students. As the police arrived at the scene the attackers fled but the police managed to get hold of one of them.
