More Sex on TV means More Kids Having Sex
A study this week was released from The University of North Carolina showing that young teens were 2.2 times more likely to be sexually active if they were exposed to sexual content on the television.I hope that no one out there actually finds this to be surprising. The things that we let into our eyes and minds will definately affect our actions. As the moral code that television and media regulates itself by degenerates it will affect the moral code that society follows.
Of course then there is the question of does television reflect societies moral code? Or is the moral code of society affected by television. In reality it is probably a vicious cycle of one feeding off the other, leading us to a moral code that has no morals...
Another interesting stat that came out of the study was "Parental disapproval in itself did indeed cut the risk of kids becoming sexually active -- 12.5 per cent of these teens started having sex, compared to 24.1 per cent of those who didn't feel their parents disapproved of sex."
What are your thought on the study? Was it surprising to you or is it just common sense?

As the moral code that television and media regulates itself by "continues to decline" it will affect the moral code that society follows.
