Using Wisdom while Blogging

Posted on Monday, April 10, 2006 in Other
I have previously written about ensuring that we use wisdom when we are blogging. You can read that post here, Being a Christian On-Line.

This morning there is another good article on-line about being wise in your writing for the web. The author looks at the wisdom of Solomon that is written down in Proverbs.  The thirteen points are listed below.
  1. Think before posting
  2. Avoid the foolish
  3. Know when to walk away
  4. Watch what you read
  5. Be humble
  6. Avoid the arrogant
  7. Mind your own business
  8. Don't be a troublemaker
  9. Examine why you write
  10. Be careful what you teach
  11. Be a friend
  12. Meditate upon what you write
  13. Walk with the Lord
There is some very good advise there. I will quite often have a post sitting in my "drafts" folder for a few days as I work my way through a similar mental check list to what is written above. You can read his full article at Challies: Blogging and the Wisdom of Solomon.
