Advice for YWAM Travel
A lot of YWAMers spend a lot of time on airplanes. Loren Cunningham, the founder of Youth With A Mission, has actually visited every single country and protectorate in the world. As you can probably image, that involved a lot of time on airplanes and traveling around by other means. Most YWAMers have their favorite travel agent who generally does their best to get good, cheap flights for us. The one that we usually use is Harvey World Travel. They seem to do pretty good for us as a whole. I'm sure that it can't be easy to find flights for groups of 30-people every couple of months...
I had an article come across my desk a few months ago that I have been sitting on so that I can try to use the travel advice when our family flies back to Canada next year. The flight from Australia to Canada is a long one, and an expensive one (probably around $8000 - $10,000 for the four of us), so any advice on how to make the trip more enjoyable, shorter and cheaper is good advice.
The article is entitled How to buy a cheap seat in first class. I just read it and thought that I would link to it for anyone else who would be interested. Unfortunately it looks like I probably wouldn't be able to use the travel advice on international flights and travel, but it looks good for flights in the continental US anyways.
Here is the link to the article:
In anyone has ever tried this and had it work, let us know in the comments...
