"Stop Licking the Car"

Posted on Sunday, July 2, 2006 in Personal

Alright, that isn't really something that I expected to be saying to my three and a half year old son the other day as we were washing the car together, but I had to say it...

Caleb had gotten quite good at washing the car with me, despite his age. I've ripped off a quarter of our sponge and given that to him. His specialty is the wheels and the mirrors. At the moment though I only have one cloth for drying the car, so while I was drying the car he was licking it... I would love to know what was going on in his head, but I'm sure that he was just trying to help.

This is an ad revenue sharing blog.

I can just imaging what our friends and neighbours would have thought had they walked past our house and heard me saying to Caleb "Stop licking the car..."

Lol! that\'s the beauty of children. Their absolutely wonderful thoughts always the result of good intentions. I\'m sure that was his way of glossing up the car, must\'ve thought that would make you happy! :-) Many blessings on you and you family

My wife and I have an ongoing list of things you never thought you would ever say. I think stop licking the car would make the list.
