Another long week

TGIF (Thank God It's Friday!)

Well, it wasn't a very productive week this week.  The Internet still doesn't work on some of the users on the Internet, but the users that do and don't work is totally random.  The new anti-virus system looks like it's working pretty well though, which is a bonus, and I can centrally manage this one, which is a huge bonus over our previous system.  Some of the new interns and students have had strange problems with their systems, one with a corupt registry (I'm still trying to fix that one) and another with a video module on his laptop that came loose.  He was almost ready to buy a new one till we had a good look at it.

Sam's been learning the ropes a bit and that's going pretty well.  So far I've been having him fix and set-up the students computers, and set us up some computers for him and I to use in IT.  Lots more happening too, but that's all a little boring I reckon...

This weekend I'll be trying to finish up a toy box for Caleb.  I made it out of some recycled timber from an old shipping pallet (well, from four of them actually) and I just have another coat of varnish to put on it on Saturday, and then attach the lid.  It looks pretty good Tamara says.  I was trying to match the stain to Caleb's chest of drawers, but it didn't turn out exactly the same, which was disappointing, but it's still not too bad.  I'll have to put some photo's on the web-page of that and the hat stand that we also made for him.

I'll also be washing the car and doing the yard work, so it'll be a busy weekend, but hopefully not involving fixing computers, which will be nice.

I've been listening to Country 105 (a Calgary radio station) a lot on the Internet lately.  It's been good because the country music station here in town is pretty bad usually.  That said though, we only got the country radio station about a month ago, so at least now there is something to listen to in the car.  Country 105 makes me a bit homesick for Calgary, but it'worth it...

Well, got to go home and cook us up some dinner.

Have a good weekend!

Hi:
Anything more on further education? I'd love to see you enrol. More information would make everything easier for you and the base.
Hope it comes about!
