YWAMers can be Embarrassing
Gloria Jeans, a local coffee shop, have been offering free coffee every day for 10-minutes at 11:00 and 2:00 every day this month to celebrate their 10th birthday. I have been there four times this month to enjoy a free coffee.Last time Tamara went (she's been three times) she counted 13 other YWAMers, many of whom are there at least once, sometimes twice a day for a free coffee! It's a bit embarrassing because all the workers at Gloria Jeans know that we are from YWAM, and the Americans in the group always manage to stand out in a crowd of Australians.
I wish that I could say I was not guilty of similar behaviour, but when I first joined staff here at 21 years old I would once a week walk down to the local Subway with a friend, buy a soft drink, and sit there for an hour, refilling the drink quite often from the "bottomless" soda fountain. That was until they changed the policy on bottomless drinks so that you had to purchase a sandwich to get bottomless drinks.
