Apple Mac Store at JCU still sucks for service
Up until now the Apple Centre at James Cook University (JCU) has been the only one in town, and we have been extremely disapointed with the service from the Apple store at JCU (read here and here for more) and now we have even more to complain about.A guy that I work with here just took his laptop into the new Mac store here in Townsville (I can't find the web-site yet). He took it there to get his screen and speakers replaced as they have been acting up ever since he got it back from the Mac Centre at JCU. When the service guy at the new Mac Store in Townsville opened up the computer he discovered that the technicians at JCU left out 25 screws! That to me is just negligent, lazy and sloppy and there is no good reason for it.
The new store in town so far seems to be quite competent in their support and help. Time will tell if that continues...
