The Importance of Replying to Comments
There is a very well written article over at Missionary Blogs entitled "Hello? Please respond... ? - Missionary blog tip #10". How often have you commented on a blog and maybe asked a question, but never had a reponse?Responding to every comment on a blog can be a daunting thing for a blogger (not me as I don't seem to get many comments), but some sort of response is needed if you want to build up loyal readership. This is important no matter what the topic of your blog, but it is especially important if you are using your blog for communication to people supporting you in missions.
I must confess that I go through seasons with this. Although I try to remember the importance of responding it can slip sometimes, especially when life get busy.
What do you reckon? Why not pop over to Missionary Blogs and add to the discussion.

I'm part of the pioneering team for a new base in Cuernavaca, MX. I was excited to find out that YWAM has an IT Blog so I registered for it, that was over a month ago, well to this day I haven't been able to log in...when I try to log in it tells me I'm blocked or not activated, if I try to create a new account it says my screenname and email are already being used and if I try to request a new password it tells me that my email is not associated with an account or it doesn't exist, not sure. Since you are already inside, I was wondering if you could help me connect with someone who could help me out to activate my account. As you know the "Contact Us" feature requires to log in :-|
I'll really appreciate it.

Donovan on Monday, August 6, 2007I totally agree. In fact, I am often too much in passive mode and realise part of the fun of blogs is the interactivity. Aside from needing to comment, I should respond to comments on my own blogs.
