Are You Unoffendable?
One of our "Top 10 Household Agreements" is to be "unoffendable". It's something that we have decided as a family is important to us, to not take offense to other people's comments or actions. We have our Household Agreements on the side of the fridge to remind us, everyday, of the importance of living by these agreements.Lynn Green, the Chairman of Youth With A Mission (YWAM), has written a very interesting post about "If you become mature in Christ you will not take offense." He writes about how when we become offended it is our "ego" that feels it and it is the part that God has not worked on yet that gets "offended".
Being unoffendable is certainly something that I still need to work on, a lot (just ask my family). Read all of Lynn's post about "Offended" and then feel free to write your comments on Lynn's site, or back here.

- Offended means Unforgiveness
billhutchison on Wednesday, August 29, 2007If you get offended, or possibly more importantly maintain the offense it is a sign of unforgiveness. We are called to forgiveness and we need to be willing to give it freely, without being asked for it and without expecting anything in return.
