Catching up on the Change in the US Dollar

There are definitely some Internet based companies that are a bit slow about the drop in the strength of the US dollar. At the moment the Canadian dollar is trading at more than the US dollar. This has not happened since the year I was born, 1977.

Even with the change in the strength of the US dollar there are many places on-line where you can now save money by choosing to buy in US dollars (if you have the option). Here is one example that I just came across:
  • "You purchase your enrollment membership costing $49 AUD/NZD, $29.00 US, $39.00 CDN (plus applicable taxes)."
So as a Canadian I could, in theory, save about $11.00 by purchasing in US currency instead of Canadian currency...
