Time for New Laptop
Earlier this year I was given a laptop to replace my old Dell Inspiron 2650. The person who gave me the laptop had been given one by work and didn't have need for his old laptop, so he donated it to me.
Unfortunately the laptop has now died.
The timing for this really couldn't be much worse. We are in the middle of trying to raise money to finish our house (about $50,000 still needed), and now at the same time we need to figure out what to do about replacing the laptop. I won't write all the words that have passed through my mind since discovering this, but there were quite a few choice words shared...
For the interim I will be using a 4.5 year old laptop from work, so hopefully that will be able to last me until we get the house sorted so that then we look at the laptop issue. I must say though, I am a bit frustrated right now.
I'll be sharing more about the technical problems with our Compaq Presario V4000 over on Tech on Tour, but it will probably take me a while to get around to writing the article since I don't have my own computer any more.
