Loosing Touch

Posted on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 in Information Technology

I've been feeling lately like I am loosing touch a bit with my work.  I think that part of it might be because I have so many things on my plate that I don't know where to start, so my brain just kind of shuts down sometimes.  This week has been one of those times.

Here is a quick list of some of the major projects we are working on right now:
  • YWAM Content Management System for YWAM Web Sites
    • Currently trying to put together an international committee to work in this

  • Reef to Outback / YWAM Contact Management System
    • working with David Couper in the UK and Andrew Dutton here at Reef to Outback on a solution that may serve all YWAM as well as our special training needs
  • Install new phone system
  • Develop new redundancy and back-up strategy for Reef to Outback
    • Most of our "new" servers just past the three-year old mark, which is when normal companies would look at replacing them.
  • Develop IT Training for Reef to Outback and YWAM
    • Includes basic training for standard users as well as training for network adminstrators
  • Build and develop an intranet for YWAM Australia
All these new projects are in addition to maintaining our existing network, webpage and video conferencing set-up...
